PAA is led and administered by volunteers. We keep membership fees low as we do not want to preclude people from joining due to cost. The annual free is from £10 per year and is open to anyone.
PAA
Seeks truth in fiction and in poetry,
in art and craft where messages are formed
in fabric, marble, photograph or paint;
looks for hidden clues in history
and finds them written on a gable end,
a man-made bridge or natural waterway,
or etched in fissures on the bark of yews
much older than the history itself.
The rhythm of a dance infused with thought,
the subtle depths of voice and instrument
that conjure sounds of poignant melody
to tell their narratives in other tongues.
Or just relaxing with dramatic tale,
and joining in with songs that have no end
beyond the drawing out of labour’s stress,
and finding pleasure where no meaning lies.
These few are samples of the many ways
by which the arts enhance our working days.
